The Cupra brand’s first standalone model, the Formentor SUV coupe, will arrive in European dealerships this autumn.

Customers who want to be among the first to drive Cupra’s flagship model will be able to place advance orders from July. Production of the Formentor, named after the landmark cape on the island of Mallorca, will kick off this summer on line 2 at the Martorell plant near Barcelona.

At launch, the Cupra Formentor will be available with a 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit rated at 310 PS (306 HP) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, and it will come with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and 4Drive AWD system as standard.
